“My kids both felt thrilled to see Brad every week, and he taught them skills following their lead, encouraging them to stretch their comfort levels and love music."

Teaching Bio

I started by giving lessons to my friends, with the sole purpose of getting them to a point that they could then jam with me. From 2012 to 2014 I settled in Stratford Ontario and gave lessons at the Long and McQuades in both Stratford and Woodstock, building up a large and diverse group of students and developing my teaching style. I taught at the Regent Park School of Music in Toronto from 2015 to 2018, leading guitar groups and ensembles, teaching private lessons to kids with special needs, and helping develop several programs, including Pianimators and our collaboration with Turning Point Youth Services.  While living in Toronto I also taught a seniors ukulele group at Oak Ridges Ridges Community Centre, which grew from 1 class of eight students to 3 classes with over 25 students.

“If you have a chance to expose your child or yourself to the personality and the talent of Brad McGoey, I whole heartedly recommend that you do! You will not be disappointed!"
